This item WILL sprinkle glitter on your floor, but I gave it a 5 star anyway because this was a bargain compared to other light up garlands. It arrives tightly packed in a compact box but this tight packing doesn’t damage the garland. You can easily unfold it and fluff out the branches. I like that this is battery operated so you don’t have a cord running anywhere. The wire in the garland is stiff, not soft so it doesn’t “drape”. I “fitted” it over a mantel- running it across the top and bending the garland to hang down the left and right sides. The lights give a soft white glow. One set of AA batteries lasted the whole Holiday season and were still going strong. Be sure to remove batteries when you store your garland, so that the batteries don’t corrode over summer. It had been packed so tightly in it’s box, there is no way I could store it in the box it came in so I just bent it a couple of times and put it in a garbage bag (so it wouldn’t get glitter on stuff) and put that in my holiday storage bin.

This is very nice. I was surprised at the quality. It does require some playing with in order to lay the way you want.
Some comments said the glitter was tacky, and while it doesn’t look great up close, across my mantle on the day light helps to give it a little shimmer that makes me appreciate that it’s there.
I have only had it two nights, so can’t comment about battery life but it only requires 2 AA batteries and we always habe a tone of those thanks to my kids gaming controllers.
